Go  big or go home! With the Barbecook Edson you  can grill tough and tasty and enjoy the well-known Barbecook ease of use.  Thanks to the charcoal starter you can start the barbecue in one-two-three and  in no time you’re grill ready for a  classic like spare ribs. And with this recipe — which requires minimal  preparation — you will soon be a real king  of the grill.

Made in no time

  1. Remove all loose pieces of fat from the ribs and pat the meat dry with some kitchen paper.
  2. Spare ribs taste a thousand times better with a home-made marinade or rub. And guess what, making such a mixture yourself is not at all difficult. The only thing you have to remember is that it’s best to remove the white membrane on the hollow side of the spare rib.  That way all the tastes permeate into the meat even better, resulting in super juicy spare ribs.
  3. As grill master, you can play with the herb mixture as rub. To do this, mix the ingredients to your own taste until you have the ideal mixture. For a spicy taste add some extra cayenne pepper. Ay caramba!
  4. Your own home-made marinade also gives it a personal touch. This way, you have two mixtures ready in no time no time for spreading on the spare ribs.
  5. Give the rub or marinade time to penetrate into the meat by keeping the spiced spare ribs in a bag in the fridge for two hours.
  6. Anyone who wants to impress with their grill skills, does that (obviously) in style with the Barbecook  Edson, by far the coolest barbecue in our range. The unit not only looks nice, the XL grill also creates an XL spare ribs feast at which ten friends can share in the enjoyment.
  7. Light the Barbecook Edson using the Barbecook  charcoal starter, starter  blocks, charcoal and long matches.
  8. Grill the meat in the highest position on the Barbecook Edson. Turn them over every five to seven minutes with the Barbecook Army Style tongs. After you have turned the marinated ribs, you can brush them again with the marinade.
  9. Repeat the previous step until the spare ribs are cooked.
  10. Lookin’ good!

TIP: Grilled and eaten enough? Put the cover on top and the Barbecook Edson serves as a sturdy party table. Ideal for chatting with your friends afterwards with some cold beers.
