Halloween party

The attire :

The creepier the better! With a white sheet you can magically transform yourself into a funny or bad ghost! At a Halloween party, magicians, witches and vampires obviously cannot be missing. Long dark robes, witch hats, vampire teeth and a matching wig or mask can complete your outfit. Use make up as well and freely use your creativity: a sheet-white face and dark eyes, a big pimple on your nose and traces of blood around your vampire tooth... creepy!

The music :

Go to the local library and look for a cd with creepy music. On the internet you can easily find many creepy ditties too. After the barbecue you can watch a creepy film together, like Nosferatu, Nightmare on Elmstreet or Phantom of the Opera. It might be even more fun to give your guests the task to prepare a creepy story when you invite them. After dinner you sit in a circle (if possible with the barbecook® firebasket or the barbecook® garden fire in the middle to warm you up nicely) and everyone in turn tells his or her creepy story.

The decor:

An important condition obviously is that your Halloween party starts once it is dark. Candles on candlesticks and tea-warmers take care of the little light you need. Take the pulp out of some pumpkins and cut faces in the pumpkins. You can put small candles in them too. On firm cardboard you draw some graves which you will place criss-cross in your garden. Buy plastic spiders, cobwebs, bats, lampions, Halloween festoons, etc. at the local carnival store.

Typical food and drinks :

Typical Halloween food maybe does not exist, but a creepy name for your preparations gets you immediately into the atmosphere! Think for example of mice tails, dragon blood or spider cake! Give free room to your inspiration!
